Netflix Inc., the world's leading Internet entertainment service, announced that award-winning director Hwang Dong-hyuk will produce a new Korean original series, Round Six.

Netflix announces today its first Belgian original series, Into the Night, which will be directed by Belgian duo Inti Calfat and Dirk Verheye (Over Water) and produced by Entre Chien et Loup. But after years of touring, and in the aftermath of a personal breakup, something singular and new began to emerge. “It sounds cliche, but it was the end of one of those relationships where you go, 'Screw it, I'm gonna go get a tattoo and buy a guitar,'” says Hawk. “These songs just started pouring out.” The result is Hawk's first solo album, Lights On Kinks Out (out November 1), a sprawling indie rock opus and revelatory songwriting debut from a roots music stalwart.

The recording industry's Music Performance Trust Fund (MPTF) announced today the fund has doubled the number of live MusicianFest performances they will support in senior centers throughout the U.S. and Canada this year. The fund will invest more than $200,000 in over 1,000 events, which will be coordinated and implemented by local union offices of the American Federation of Musicians.
