Richmond based, experimental folk duo Lean Year, have confirmed a short run of performances that kick off October 28 with Angel Olsen in North Carolina and routes them through Brooklyn, Bloomington, Chicago and more. This time around, Lean Year's Emilie Rex and filmmaker Rick Alverson will be joined by Matt O'Connell of Elephant Micah and Erik Hall of In Tall Buildings and Wild Belle. A special Sunday original telecast of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has topped the late-night talk-show week of Oct. 14-18 in adults 18-49 and total viewers, while Monday-through-Friday encore telecasts have led those nights in 18-49 over a mostly original week of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and rebroadcasts of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

 HBO Max has greenlit travel docuseries Birth, Wedding, Funeral as part of an overall deal with Lisa Ling. Each episode of the series will immerse viewers in a different country to reveal their cultures through the lens of the three universal rituals—births, weddings, and funerals. FOX (4.869 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) pulled in front among adults 18-49 on Monday thanks to new episodes of '9-1-1' (6.307 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) and 'Prodigal Son' (3.430 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #6).

Comedy Central announced today a collaboration with All Things Comedy to produce a documentary about Patrice O'Neal. Set to begin filming this fall, the untitled documentary is a deep-dive portrait of O'Neal who passed away at 41 in 2011. The film, directed by Bonfiglio (Gary Gulman: The Great Depresh) will recount O'Neal's life story and explore the hilarious and controversial material he left behind. Utilizing a vast archive including never-before-seen personal materials and featuring O'Neal's family and friends, the film will include a who's who of comedy — the comics who knew, were influenced and were affected by O'Neal —  placing his work into the context of the time as well as today.

 The Hollywood Film Awards announced today that highly-acclaimed artists Antonio Banderas, Renée Zellweger, Al Pacino and Laura Dern will be honored at the 23rd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.”  Banderas will receive the “Hollywood Actor Award” for his poignant turn in Pedro Almodóvar's 21st film, “Pain and Glory” and Zellweger will receive the “Hollywood Actress Award” for her powerful portrayal of the iconic Judy Garland in Rupert Goold's “Judy.”  Pacino will receive the “Hollywood Supporting Actor Award” for his brilliant depiction of the infamous Jimmy Hoffa in Martin Scorsese's mob masterpiece “The Irishman,” and Dern will receive the “Hollywood Supporting Actress Award” for her commanding performance as a hard-hitting divorce attorney in Noah Baumbach's “Marriage Story.”  Actor and comedian Rob Riggle will host the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

During the week of Oct. 14, 2019, ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” scored its most-watched week so far this season, soaring over the prior week by 16% in Total Viewers (2.034 million vs. 1.760 million). In fact, “Kimmel” delivered its largest weekly audience in more than 4 months—since the week of 6/3/19. In addition, the ABC late-night program built week to week by 4% in Adults 18-49 (434,000 vs. 417,000) to post its 2nd-best performance this season.

Rachel Bay Jones has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming Amazon YA drama series Panic, according to Deadline. Enrique Murciano, Camron Jones, and Jessica Sula were announced as series regulars in roles that have been recast after the pilot.
