STAGE TUBE: Matthew Fox Talks LeBute's IN A FOREST, DARK AND DEEPNovember 23, 2010LOST star Matthew Fox and THE GHOST WRITER's Olivia Williams will star in the world premiere production of Neil LaBute's IN A FOREST, DARK AND DEEP. LaBute will direct the production as well which is set to begin previews at the West End Vaudeville theater on March 3, 2010 before opening on March 14, 2010. The show will play 12 weeks, and tickets for the first week will be on sale via lastminute.com.

Originally written with four actors (playing various characters), the musical poses these perennial rants: 'Who Am I?' and 'Who Do I Want to Become?' Confronting emotions, escaping expectations, and deciphering complicated relationships--the songs cover universal issues such as love, commitment, identity, and meaning. One of its more popular songs is 'Be My Friend', also commonly known as the 'Facebook Song'.

After making his GLEE debut in the November 9 episode, Darren Criss will reportedly join the cast as a series regular. According to the Associated Press, Criss as signed on to not only finish his guest stint this season, but join the cast as a regular for season three.

Idina Menzel Makes NY Philharmonic Debut, 2/5November 22, 2010Tony Award-winning actress, singer, and songwriter Idina Menzel, star of Broadway's Wicked and the original stage production of Rent, will make her New York Philharmonic debut Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 8:00 p.m. The concert, a benefit for the New York Philharmonic, will be conducted by multi-award-winning conductor/composer Marvin Hamlisch. Ms. Menzel - who appeared in the hit television show Glee - will perform a repertoire of classic pop, musical theater favorites (including hits from Wicked and Rent), as well as selections from her album of original songs, I Stand.

Sykes will open the production on November 23 and close the production on January 16, 2011 following a Christmas absence. The production will be directed by Media Artistic Director Jesse Cline and musical directed by Tom Fosnocht. Rehearsals began November 8, 2011.
Open Air Theatre to Present LORD OF THE FLIES, THE BEGGARS OPERA et al. in 2011November 22, 2010The 2010 season at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre became the most successful in the theatre's history with more than 142,000 visitors across its sixteen-week run. Capitalising on the inimitable relationship between production and setting, Into the Woods became the highest-grossing single production at the theatre taking £1.2m in five weeks, whilst The Comedy of Errors became the most successful Shakespeare play. Arthur Miller's The Crucible, attracted a whole new audience to the theatre: 72% of those who attended the play had never been to the venue before. Steve Marmion's production of Macbeth, re-imagined for ages six and over, achieved the highest footfall for a family show.
