Presented by NCM Fathom and Omniverse Vision, a fully staged THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL event is being broadcast to select theaters for an exclusive four-night run beginning with the LIVE broadcast on Sunday, October 2 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT; followed by pre-recorded broadcasts on Wednesday, October 5; Thursday, October 6 and one final encore on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. local time. The first box office numbers are in and, according to the UK Film Council, The Phantom of the Opera screenings took in £550,955 over the weekend alone. Final tallies for the addition screenings should be in by the end of the week.

EW.com exclusively reports today that Marissa Tomei, Martin Sheen and Blair Underwood will be the featured actors in the third season of the NBC reality show, Who Do You Think You Are?, premiering in early 2012. The series traces the lineage of some of the most famous faces today. Previews participants have included Gwyneth Paltrow, Kim Cattrall, Vanessa Williams and more.

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that the world premiere of WE LIVE HERE, by Zoe Kazan, directed by Sam Gold is extending due to popular demand. Tickets for WE LIVE HERE are now on sale through Sunday, November 6. The production will open next Wednesday, October 12 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I.

In a new interview with the LA Times out today, Audra McDonald addresses the 'perceived racism' in the upcoming Broadway transfer of Porgy & Bess that has haunted the show for some time. Noting the difference between artistic archetypes utilized in Porgy & Bess vs. stereotypes, McDonald is nothing short of a Porgy champion.

GLEE's Chris Colfer has Broadway dreams, too. Like his co-stars Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and, now, Darren Criss, Colfer hopes to one day find himself performing live for audiences on the Great White Way. Only problem, he believes his dream role has yet to be written. During a sit down interview at the New Yorker Festival this weekend at the SVA Theater, Colfer implied that he, in fact, hopes to write his own role for the stage, stating that regarding his ideal part 'I haven't written them yet.'

BroadwayWorld has learned that Anything Goes star Joel sustained a minor fracture in his left foot while walking around New York City. His doctors expect him to make a full recovery in two weeks and he is expected to return to the production as soon as he is able. Robert Creighton will perform the role of 'Moonface Martin' until Joel's return.

Roundabout Theatre Company is presenting three-time Tony Award winner Frank Langella as 'Gregor Antonescu' in Terence Rattigan's drama Man and Boy, directed by Maria Aitken. Man and Boy began previews on September 9th and opens officially on October 9th, 2011 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. This is a limited engagement through November 27, 2011. For two decades Friends In Deed has offered emotional and spiritual support for all those affected by life threatening illness, caregiving and grief. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Friends In Deed, Emmy Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker and Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick will host 'A Little Jurassic Treasure Hunt,' a once-in-a-lifetime event on Monday, October 3, 2011. At this special benefit event, guests will form teams to trace clues through the American Museum of Natural History in a specially devised hunt created by legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Following a cocktail reception in The Museum's Hall of Mammals, the hunt will take place in the Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs and the Hall of Ornithischian Dinosaurs before a dinner reception in the Rose Center for Earth and Space. The dinner reception will feature performances of Mr. Sondheim's songs by Tony Award winner Barbara Cook and Tony nominee Raul Esparza.

Lauren Molina and Geoff Packard have brought the Goodman Theatre's acclaimed production of CANDIDE, directed and newly adapted by Mary Zimmerman, to the Huntington Theatre. When the Carrollton, Georgia production of 'The Rocky Horror Show' was shut down by Mayor Wayne Garner and local political leaders last week for being 'too risqué,' the Dramatists Guild of America weighed in with a cry of censorship and a promise of support of the Guild's 6,200+ members.

Second Stage Theatre will present the new musical THE BLUE FLOWER written by Jim Bauer and Ruth Bauer, with choreography by Chase Brock and direction by Will Pomerantz, this fall. Previews will begin on Wednesday, October 12 and officially open on Wednesday, November 9 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre. Ford's Theatre is presenting the Washington premiere of the Tony-winning musical drama Parade, directed by Stephen Rayne. The production opened on September 23 and runs though October 30, 2011. The centerpiece of this year's programming for The Lincoln Legacy Project, Parade is based on the true story of Leo Frank's trial and lynching in early 20th-century Atlanta. Ostracized for his faith and Northern heritage, Jewish factory manager Leo Frank is accused of murdering a teenaged factory girl the day of the annual Confederate Memorial Day parade. Alfred Uhry's award-winning book and Jason Robert Brown's rousing, colorful and haunting score illuminate a circus of conflicting accounts, false testimony and mishandled evidence in a town reeling with social and racial tension. Isolated from the world, Leo develops a new and deeper love for his wife, who tirelessly crusades for his freedom. Tony-Award nominee Euan Morton stars as Leo Frank with Jenny Fellner as Lucille Frank in this compelling and provocative tale of justice miscarried. MCC Theater's production of Jeff Talbott's SUBMISSION features Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, 'Glee'), Will Rogers (When the Rain Stops Falling), Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie, HBO's 'How to Make It in America'), and Rutina Wesley ('True Blood,' The Vertical Hour). The Kennedy Center's critically acclaimed revival of James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece FOLLIES joined the million dollar club, grossing $1,122,778 million in the week ending September 25th. This is also the highest weekly gross for any Broadway musical production featuring both music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The production, which opened to rave reviews on September 12, 2011, is currently playing a limited engagement through January 22, 2012 at the Marquis Theatre.
