WAITING FOR GODOT Returns to Theatre Royal Haymarket Next YearNovember 23, 2009The Theatre Royal, Haymarket's hit production of Beckett's Waiting for Godot that ended a sell-out run in August of this year will return for an encore run early next year, according to the show's star, Ian McKellen. In his acceptance speech after winning the Lebedev Special Award for outstanding contribution to British Theatre at the Evening Standard Awards earlier today, McKellen remarked that he felt he had unfinished business with the production, which he called 'the most joyful professional experience I've ever had.'

The show, which is currently extended through December 6, will not be performed December 14 - 20 due to Smith's previous commitment to perform Hymn with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at City Center.
Brent Barrett Extends CHICAGO Run Thru 3/27November 23, 2009On Monday, October 5, Broadway's Tony Award-winning hit musical CHICAGO welcomed back Broadway favorite Brent Barrett as Billy Flynn. Barrett had been scheduled to resurrect his performance for an eight-week return engagement through Sunday, November 29. Barrett's participation will now be extended through March 27, 2010.
Philadelphia Theatre Company Extends LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA Thru 12/13November 20, 2009Responding to the popular demand for tickets, Philadelphia Theatre Company is extending its production of the multiple Tony Award-winning musical, The Light in the Piazz, until Sunday, December 13. ENTER LAUGHING is Broadway Bound, 2010-2011 SeasonNovember 20, 2009The New York Times has revealed that the York Theater's production of ENTER LAUGHING, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Carl Rainer about a young actor managing his life and women, that ran off-Broadway last season will head to the Great White Way in the 2010 - 2011 season. No theater has been booked.
