Feinstein and Edna's ALL ABOUT ME Cancels First 3 Previews; Now Begins Performances 2/22January 11, 2010The producers of All About Me announced today that due to the late change in directors, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna's All About Me will begin previews at the Henry Miller's Theatre three days later than previously announced. All About Me's original director, Jerry Zaks, recently left the production to work as the head creative consultant on THE ADDAMS FAMILY, also heading to Broadway this spring. Casey Nicholaw stepped into fill Zak's shoes just a few weeks ago.
SHREK's Christopher Sieber Leads The New Group's THE KID in AprilJanuary 11, 2010The New York Times is reporting that Shrek vet Christopher Sieber will star as sex columnist Dan Savage in The New Group's production of The Kid, a new musical based on Dan Savage's book The Kid: What Happened After My Boyfriend and I Decided to Go Get Pregnant. The production will run as the the third show of The New Group's 2009 - 2010 season, however, no exact production dates have been announced. Additional cast and creative team announcements are also forthcoming.

Showtime Pulls Trigger on Jeremy Irons' 'The Borgias' January 11, 2010Stage and screen star Jeremy Irons will star in Showtime's new historical drama The Borgias. The new series, replacing Showtime's The Tudors, will premiere in early 2011. Creator Neil Jordan executive produces alongside Michael Hirst who produced The Tudors. The Tudors will end its four year run this year. Jordan will reportedly helm the first two episodes.
Dianne Paulus to Direct A.R.T.'s JOHNNY BASEBALL this SpringJanuary 11, 2010Diane Paulus' landmark inaugural season as Artistic Director of American Repertory Theater (the A.R.T.) will come to a close with the world premiere of Johnny Baseball, The New Red Sox Musical (formerly called Red Sox Nation). The Hair visionary, who has helmed The Donkey Show and Best of Both Worlds for A.R.T. this season, will direct the production, which begins performances May 14, and opens on June 27.
IATSE and Broadway League Reach New Three-Year DealJanuary 11, 2010According to published reports, Local One, The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada, AFL-CIO, CLC (IATSE), has entered into a new three year contract with the Broadway League. The new contract, which went into effect on January 1, 2010 and will be valid through December 31, 2010, applies to all IATSE personnel who travel with live entertainment productions.
