Jennifer Broski

Born and raised in Maine, she fell in love with the city while still in high school. After a year at Marymount Manhattan College, she returned home to finish her education (go Black Bears!), though she left a piece of her heart here. She spent a few years in Northampton, MA, before finally returning to the city she loved. She’s worn many hats—writer, bookseller, merch girl, and more—but  photographer is her favorite. She’s been shooting for BWW since 2011, but has been holding a camera for as long as she can remember. In her down time, you’ll find her digging at a record store (tracking down every bit of Tori Amos music and memorabilia she can find), baking, or checking up on feral cats nearby. And she’s still a big kid who loves all things Muppet. She swears she’ll finish her novel someday.

Yesterday at 88 Madison Avenue, the cast of Pippin celebrated the show's new partnership with Carlton Hotel with a live performance, nail art painting provided by Caravan Stylist Studio and circus-inspired refreshments provided by the Carlton hotel. The Carlton hotel's new PIPPIN the Musical Package will be available starting January, running through March 2014. The package includes overnight luxury accommodations, tickets to PIPPIN, cocktails at restaurant Millesime and a CD soundtrack from the show.

The event included performances by the show's stars Lauren Molina and Jason Tam, who were joined on piano by Musical Director John Bell. SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK, the Broadway spectacular that defied odds and expectations to conquer New York, played its final performance at the Foxwoods Theatre yesterday, Jan. 4, 2014, after being seen by approximately two million fans, and 1,268 performances. Since it began previews on November 28, 2010, and even before they bagan, the show's high and lows were in the news, making it one of the most talked about shows in theater history. Broadway's new musical Big Fish will play its final performance on Sunday, December 29, 2013. This is your last chance to see two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Catch Me If You Can), Tony Award nominee Kate Baldwin (Giant, Finian's Rainbow) and Bobby Steggert (Giant, Ragtime) onstage at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). 50 uniformed members of the USO attended the show earlier this week and you can check out photos of them with the cast below!
