Jennifer Broski

Born and raised in Maine, she fell in love with the city while still in high school. After a year at Marymount Manhattan College, she returned home to finish her education (go Black Bears!), though she left a piece of her heart here. She spent a few years in Northampton, MA, before finally returning to the city she loved. She’s worn many hats—writer, bookseller, merch girl, and more—but  photographer is her favorite. She’s been shooting for BWW since 2011, but has been holding a camera for as long as she can remember. In her down time, you’ll find her digging at a record store (tracking down every bit of Tori Amos music and memorabilia she can find), baking, or checking up on feral cats nearby. And she’s still a big kid who loves all things Muppet. She swears she’ll finish her novel someday.

Red-Eye to Havre de Grace is by Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental, created by Thaddeus Phillips, Jeremy Wilhelm, David Wilhelm, Geoff Sobelle, Sophie Bortolussi with Ean Sheehy and music by Wilhelm Bros. & Co. and direction and stage design by Thaddeus Phillips, Opening night is set for Thursday, May 1 at 7pm. With a Tony Award-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a book by four-time Tony Award-winnerHarvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots opened on April 4, 2013 and continues to play to standing-room-only crowds nightly. Since bursting onto Broadway, Newsies has set and broken seven Nederlander Theatre house records on its way to becoming the highest-grossing show of the 2011-12 Broadway season. The show received 23 major theatrical nominations - including eight Tony Award nods - and won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Score and Choreography.
