Tennessee Repertory Theatre will present the Tennessee premiere of God of Carnage, winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play. Written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton, this scathing comedy is a recent major motion picture release (Carnage, directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet). God of Carnage runs February 4 - 18 at TPAC's Johnson Theater (with preview performances February 2 - 3).

The Boiler Room Theatre (BRT), Williamson County's original and longest-running professional theatre company, skates into its 12th season with the Broadway musical Xanadu opening February 10th at the theatre's iconic namesake venue in the historic Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd., Building Six, in Franklin, Tenn. for a run through March 3.

The OBIE-winning HERE announced the line-up for its annual CULTUREMART festival, this year running January 24 - February 11. CULTUREMART makes process the focus, presenting work in various stages of development from the boundary-breaking artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP). CULTUREMART provides a platform for HARP artists to blur the lines between dance, theatre, music, multimedia, puppetry and visual art, on their journey to mainstage productions. CULTUREMART 2012 features 12 workshop performances spanning topics as varied as civic engagement, human error, music of the spheres, war gaming and everything in between.

The Bushwick Starr and Van Cougar present the world premiere of Gonna See a Movie Called Gunga Din. This new play draws from intimate, real-life interviews with United States veterans set against a vivid collage of physical movement culled from classic American war films. Van Cougar, a homegrown company of The Bushwick Starr, presents Gonna See a Movie Called Gunga Din to examine the distance between cinematic depictions of American soldiers and the reality of service men and women.

Animus Theatre Company announced its inaugural production of John Patrick Shanley's Where's My Money? opening on Saturday, January 28 at Manhattan's Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) and running through Sunday, February 12. The cast is led by Jonathan Judge- Russo (Treasure Island (Drama Desk Nom.); The Irish Play), and the play is directed by Alex Correia (The Cherry Orchard at CSC (AD) and INTAR's Resident Director from 2008 to 2009). Cotuit Center for the Arts Announces upcoming shows, classes, and exhibits.

This month the Drama Learning Center becomes the first resident theatre troupe in the Central Maryland area to produce the hit Broadway show Legally Blonde. The Teaching Young Actors (TYA) cast at the Drama Learning Center has been rehearsing for the past 3 months to bring the musical to local theater enthusiasts from January 20-January 29. Tickets are still available but are selling fast. TYA is the Drama Learning Center's Teen Professional Company.

Announced in early December, Coronation Street the Musical will play in Manchester's MEN Arena this March.
