Mark Clements Named Artistic Director at Milwaukee Repertory TheatreOctober 9, 2009Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Board of Trustees today announced that internationally acclaimed director Mark Clements will become the company's next Artistic Director. Clements has directed at more than 100 major theaters in the United States and Europe, including productions in London's West End, 11 seasons as the Artistic Director of Derby Playhouse in the United Kingdom, and six seasons as Associate Artistic Director for Moving Theatre Company, founded by Vanessa and Corin Redgrave. In the U.S., his work has been seen at New York's Roundabout Theatre and Classic Stage Company; and at Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre. Clements, who is currently directing OLIVER! at Walnut Street Theatre, will begin his debut season with The Rep in the fall of 2010.

Schulz comic strip Peanuts and originally aired on the CBS network on November 6th, 1985.
Paz and Huels Join 'Idol's' Federov in 5th Avenue's JOSEPH...DREAMCOATOctober 9, 2009Additional casting has been announced for 5th Avenue's production of JOSEPH and the AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. Jennifer Paz (Les Misérables) will play the role of the Narrator and Dusty 45's Billy Joe Huels will join the cast as Pharaoh. James A. Rocco will return to 5th Avenue to direct. JOSEPH will open October 10th and run through November 1st.
Hershey Felder Performs COMPOSER SONATA at Drury Lane Theatre, Beginning 11/13October 7, 2009Eighty-Eight Entertainment, Samantha F. Voxakis and Lee Kaufman present Hershey Felder's COMPOSER SONATA at the Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.). The final bow of the trilogy will begin with Beethoven, As I Knew Him playing November 13 to December 6, 2009. COMPOSER SONATA, written and performed by Hershey Felder and directed by Joel Zwick, also includes Monsieur Chopin, which will play December 9 to 20, and George Gershwin Alone, which will play December 23 to 30, 2009. The "COMPOSER SONATA" trilogy will culminate in two special New Year's Eve presentations of The Great American Song Book Sing-A-Long. These shows will be filmed in Chicago before a live audience for future television broadcast and world-wide release.
Know Theatre of Cincinnati Opens Season with BOOM, 10/10October 7, 2009The Know Theatre of Cincinnati will open its season with 'boom', a play by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. This production is directed by Drew Fracher, and features two of Know Theatre's resident actors, Joshua Murphy and Liz Vosmeier. It will also feature recent Acclaim Award Rising Star, and creator of the Cincinnati Fringe Festival show, In Rehearsal, Alison Vodnoy.
The Extremes 'It's A War Out There' Premieres at the Cotuit Center for the Arts, 10/7October 7, 2009The Extremes return to Cotuit Center for the Arts after performing there two years ago to sold out houses. Linda Auerbach, Joanne Callum Powers, Nancy Crosby, Barbara Ehle, Lynn Ellison-Murphy, and Barbara Vlachich return to premiere their original soap opera, "It's a War Out There". Directed by Joanne Callum Powers, the soap opera is written and performed by 6 daughters telling their story of growing up with dad in the wake of WWII.
