Detroit's Jewish Ensemble Theatre Present THE BLANK PAGE, Opens 10/17October 16, 2009The Jewish Ensemble Theatre will present the opening of their 2009-2010 season with the presentation of THE BLANK PAGE by Kitty Dubin. This is the premiere production of the play by the Michigan-born playwright. VICKI LAWRENCE AND MAMA to Play Jacksonville's Thrasher-Horne Center, 10/16October 16, 2009Vicki Lawrence, a 12 year veteran of 'The Carol Burnett Show' and later 'Mama's Family' will bring her one-woman show to the Thrasher-Home Center in Jacksonville. Performances take place November 1 through November 22. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Columbia Psychiatry.

Chris Messina to Star in 'Devil'October 16, 2009Broadway's Chris Messina (Salome) has been cast to star in 'Devil' based on a story by M. Night Shyamalan. The film will be directed by John Erick and Drew Dowdle with a script by Brian Nelson. Filming will begin in Toronto in late October.

City Theatre Company Celebrates One Year Anniversary of New SpaceOctober 14, 2009City Theatre Company will celebrate one year in its new space this year. The company was formed in 2008 and had their own space five weeks later. Andy Berkovsky, the company's Artistic Director, started the company with former student Travis Tinnin, who dropped out of NYU's drama program to act at the company's production manager.
