The Diamond Head Theatre in Honolulu will hold auditions for its upcoming production of Altar Boyz. Directed by Tammy Colucci, the auditions will be held on Friday, April 8 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 pm. Altar Boyz will play from Friday, May 20 to Sunday, June 5.

The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts will present SHREK THE MUSICAL, the Broadway hit touring America, from May 3 to May 8. SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!

The Weekend Theater will continue its 2010-2011 season with Alfred Urhy's comedy The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Directed by Andy Hall, the production will perform on April 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23.

Painter and photographer Chuck Close will bring his latest exhibition, A Couple Ways of Doing Something, to the Alice Pratt Brown Atrium and Galleries at the Arkansas Arts Center from April 29 to June 26. Arkansas Repertory Theatre, or The Rep, will present the musical comedy favorite Hairspray from Friday, April 8 to Sunday, May 8. Anchorage Community Theatre will finish its 2010-2011 season with the riotous 1982 musical comedy Pump Boys and Dinettes, written by John Foley, Mary Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann. Renowned playwright Eric Coble will premiere his new play, The Velocity of Autumn, at the Boise Contemporary Theater. The production will run from April 6 to April 30, with opening night on April 9 and post-show discussions on April 15 and April 23.

South Bend Civic Theatre will present Jerome Lawrence & Robert E. Lee's classic comedy Auntie Mame, directed by Mary Hubbard, will play the Wilson Mainstage Auditorium on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 6 to May 22.
