On Thursday, March 8 at 11:15am, Silicon Valley Native, Julia Louise Hosack will make an appearance and will do a special performance of the title song from Disney's Beauty and the Beast at The Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. The special performance will take place inside the museum theatre and is included as part of admission to the museum.

Hector Olivera performs the final organ recital of Pacific Symphony's 2011-12 "Pedals and Pipes" series showcasing the 4,322-piped William J. Gillespie Concert Organ. Born in Buenos Aires, Olivera began playing the pipe organ at age 3, and at age 5 played for the legendary Eva Peron. Since attending The Juilliard School of Music, his interpretations of both classical and popular music have earned him standing ovations around the world. Lehmann Maupin Gallery announces its participation in The Art Show 2012, taking place March 7-11, 2012 at the Park Avenue Armory, Booth D7. MTV today announced that 'Savage U,' a new original series featuring columnist, author, and co-creator of the 'It Gets Better Project' Dan Savage, will premiere on April 3 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. 'Savage U' follows Savage and his producer Lauren Hutchinson as they travel to college campuses across the country, taking students' questions and offering a crash course on relationships, responsibility, sex, love and life.

Animal Planet has had its strongest February prime in nearly 10 years, delivering double-digit growth among 654K P2+ viewers (+13%), 489K HH (+14%), 292K P25-54 (+18%) and 277K P18-49 (+16%). Animal Planet also had record highs among men and women demos, including its best-ever February performance among M25-54 (+32%, 151K) and M18-49 (+19%, 135K), as well as its best prime delivery in nine years among W18-49 (+14%, 142K).

Deadline.com reports that Joe Keenan and Scott Ellis' comedy about a gay man and his straight brother has been fast-tracked by TV Land as a half-hour sitcom. Keenan comes from Frasier and Desperate Housewives, while Ellis has a history as a director. As gay men, both have experiences with straight siblings, and they drew much of their premise from life experience.

Times Square Entertainment, a long-time Katy community supporter, has donated $2500 to Katy Visual and Performing Art Center's Community Outreach Department. The check was presented to Lisa Connolly, KVPAC's Public Relations Manager, by Dede Young, Events Sales Manager at Times Square Entertainment, in support of the successful With All Your Art Program at KVPAC.

Elephant Theatre Company Artistic Directors David Fofi and Lindsay Allbaugh have announced that the company will be taking one year off (the 2012 season) from mounting productions, with the intention of using the year to strengthen the company, and restructure the management and membership, as well as the Board of Directors. The Elephant also plans to hire a Managing Director, and to focus on the development of sustainable fundraising initiatives.

Aurora Theatre Company founding Artistic Director Barbara Oliver returns to the company for its 20th anniversary season to direct Arthur Schnitzler's (La Ronde) first theatrical work for the stage, ANATOL. This World Premiere translation, commissioned by Aurora Theatre Company, from renowned Schnitzler expert (and Berkeley resident) Margret Schaefer, features Mike Ryan (Shakespeare Santa Cruz) in his Aurora debut as Anatol, along with Aurora veterans Tim Kniffin (Trouble in Mind, The Best Man) and Delia MacDougall (SEX, The Old Neighborhood). Chicago has teamed up with the American Cancer Society for the third year in a row to give fans a chance to sing with the "rock and roll band with horns" during their tour across the country. Modesto rock fans will be able to bid on a package that includes a meet and greet with Chicago, two premium tickets, backstage passes, and the opportunity to sing the classic hit song 'If You Leave Me Now' onstage with the band during the concert on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Gallo Center for the Arts. On March 2nd, Animazing Gallery will present The Art of Dr. Seuss - A Retrospective to commemorate the 108th birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and to kick off the National Education Association's 16th annual Read Across America event. Multi-platinum rock band Daughtry will debut its new single "Outta My Head" during the March 15 episode of Fox's American Idol. It is the third single off of the band's third album, Break The Spell, and the follow-up to the album's previous chart-climbing songs "Crawling Back To You" and "Renegade."
