Primary Stages' 2017 Spring Fling celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Einhorn School of Performing Arts this week with an event which honored Broadway composer Jeanine Tesori with the Einhorn Mentorship Award.

Primary Stages' 2017 Spring Fling celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Einhorn School of Performing Arts this week with an event which honored Broadway composer Jeanine Tesori with the Einhorn Mentorship Award. Additional honorees from the ESPA community were also celebrated at the event, including Tanya Barfield, Jimmy Carbone, and Cusi Cram.

This afternoon, Tony Award winning producer Mike Isaacson (The Humans, Fun Home, Bring it On The Musical, Red, Legally Blonde, Caroline or Change) received the Commercial Theatre Institute's Robert Whitehead Award for Outstanding Achievement in Commercial Theatre Producing. 

The Path Fund Inc. kicked off their 10th year by doing what they do best: rockin' out with some of Broadway's hottest stars. The show was modeled after Path Fund's signature rock concert series, ROCKERS ON BROADWAY®, now in its 24th year. This fun and unique charity event featured both Broadway's best rockers and Broadway's best new talents. 

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical Marry Harry, with book by Jennifer Robbins (Hudson River Blues) and music and lyrics by Dan Martin and Michael Biello (In My Body, The Cousins Grimm). Performances began April 25, 2017 at for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Just last night, The New York Pops celebrated its 34th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring Karen van Bergen, the CEO of Omnicom Public Relations Group, and Tony Award winners Kelli O'Hara and Bartlett Sher, whose collaborations over the last decade have won universal acclaim and whose individual careers represent pinnacles of achievement in the world of theatre. The concert celebrated the multi-year partnership between the actress and stage director and will bring together artists from the stage and screen.

Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, continued its 12th Season when it presents its 122nd concert presentation with Shaw's 1897 romantic comedy of errors You Never Can Tell last night, April 17 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Sidney J. Burgoyne performed Just A Little Bit More at The Iridium (www.theiridium.com) on April 11. Just A Little Bit More is a musical marathon featuring Burgoyne with the words and music of Stephen Sondheim, Noel Coward, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein, Thornton Wilder, Anthony Newley, Leslie Bricusse, Ronald Harwood, Jerry Herman, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Billy Wilder, Arthur Schwartz and Dorothy Fields, as his co-stars.

After selling out at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, with her debut act, IT MY FIRST TIME: PLEASE BE GENTLE, she's brought it to the LES's music hot-spot with IT'S MY FIRST TIME: DOWNTOWN EDITION. Both were directed by longtime pal Richard Jay-Alexander.

Little by Little, a nonprofit organization comprised of young performers from Broadway, TV and Dance communities is thrilled to have Miss Southeast Georgia Alyssa Beasley host De Novo on March 24th at the New York Creative Cultural Center, 7:30 p.m., in a benefit concert for Kevin TOKYO Inouye, a well-known dance choreographer who lost his home in a fire earlier this year.
