The York Theatre Company just presented its Spring Gala Celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Off-Broadway hit The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!).

Enter a world of magic, imagination, and wonder as the Macy's Flower Show® opens the first chapter of Spring with Once Upon a Springtime. Macy's annual floral spectacular will bloom at Herald Square in New York City beginning Sunday, March 25 and sprouting through Sunday, April 8. Once Upon a Springtime will transform the iconic store into enchanted gardens where the beauty and renewal of the spring season meets the whimsy of a fairytale journey.

Betsy Wolfe (Falsettos, Waitress), Eddie Korbich (A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, The Drowsy Chaperone), Sal Viviano (The Full Monty, The Life), Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita who has won fans across the length and breadth of Broadway with her starring roles in Matilda & Dames at Sea, Tony Yazbeck (Tony Award nominee for On the Town), Jenny Lee Stern (Rocky: The Musical & Spamilton), and Mia Gerachis (Jekyll & Hyde) performed at Broadway by the Year at Town Hall on March 26th at 8pm.

The John W. Engeman Theater's production of IN THE HEIGHTS began on Thursday, March 15 at 8:00pm. The show will run through Sunday, April 29, 2018.

Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) held the 2018 Golden Shamrock Gala on Saturday, March 17 at 3 West Club (3 West 51st Street), and honored actress and activist Martha Plimpton and actor, producer, and long-time Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Tom Viola. This year's gala was geared toward raising funds for GTG's full production of Shaw's masterpiece, Heartbreak House, which will run in New York's Theatre Row on 42nd Street from August 28 through September 29th.

Broadway stars Phillip Boykin, Quentin Earl Darrington, Hailey Kilgore, Kenita R. Miller, Alex Newell, Isaac Powell, Lea Salonga and additional cast members of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, along with composers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty celebrated the release of the musical's cast album recording (available now through Broadway Records) at Barnes and Noble last night, March 14.

Jennifer Diamond has managed to balance married life in the country and a hectic city schedule, while pursuing that elusive first Broadway Show. Jen has earned her chevrons with productions of LES MISERABLES, EVITA, RUTHLESS!, INTO THE WOODS, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, among them, and has cut her cabaret teeth on previous club appearances at Joe's Pub and Feinstein's/54Below. Last night she brought her latest show with fresh material and continued 'Tales of Adventure' to midtown's hottest new room in the heart of Times Square, The Green Room 42.

On Friday, March 9, 2018 at 8:00PM, the New York Pops Celebrated The Best of Hollywood: Blockbuster Film Scores. The concert was conducted and music directed by Steven Reineke.

GOLDSTEIN, a new musical about family with music and lyrics by Michael Roberts and a book by Charlie Schulman begins an Off Broadway run March 26th at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47 St -between 8th and 9th Avenues). The York Theatre Company presents the 1961 Broadway musical Subways Are for Sleeping with music byJule Styne and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, suggested by the book by Edmund G. Love, the final show in the Winter 2018 Musicals in Mufti Series celebrating the work of the legendary composer Jule Styne. Directed by Stuart Ross, and with music direction by David Hancock Turner, the cast features Karl Josef Co, David Engel, Beth Glover, David Josefsberg, Alyse Alan Louis, Kathryn McCreary, Gerry McIntyre, Gina Milo, Eric William Morris, and Kilty Reidy.

Mazel Tov! The Jule Styne Celebration Continues! The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, presents the rarely-seen musical Bar Mitzvah Boy, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Tony and Oscar winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard), and book by Jack Rosenthal (Yentl), as adapted by David Thompson (The Scottsboro Boys), the second of three shows in the Winter 2018 Musicals in Mufti Series celebrating the work of composer Jule Styne. Performances began February 10, 2018 for 11 performances only through Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Memphis' original Broadway cast members Tony nominee Chad Kimball (Come From Away), Cass Morgan (The Bridges of Madison County), and J. Bernard Calloway (All The Way) came together for 54 SINGS MEMPHIS, a one night only concert at Feinstein's/54 Below last night, February 4th.

The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke were joined by Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (currently appearing as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton, and previously seen as the Genie in Aladdin and Bobby in Memphis) and Broadway regular Capathia Jenkins (Medda inNewsies, as well as appearances in Caroline, Or Change, and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) for Heart and Soul on Friday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall.
