Last night was the Drama League's 35th Annual Benefit Gala: A Musical Celebration of Broadway honoring film, television, theater icon and three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane. The black-tie evening also celebrated theater producer Fran Weissler for Visionary Leadership in American Theater. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out all the photos below!

Last night, Schimmel Center presented the first of two Salon Songbook concerts this season, Feeling Wicked: The Magical Side of the American Songbook. The concert, created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer-formerly the artistic director of the acclaimed 92Y series Lyrics and Lyricists-explored the mysterious, magical, and miraculous side of the American Songbook with songs by Harold Arlen, Lerner and Loewe, Cy Coleman, Stephen Schwartz, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Disney classics, and more.

BROADWAY MEMORIES is the latest concert in Patchogue Theatre's new Broadway series with New York Casting Director and Producing Artistic Director Stephen DeAngelis. In Broadway Memories, five of Broadway's finest performers gather on stage to belt some of Broadway's most memorable musical numbers and share anecdotes from their careers. Scheduled performers include TODD BUONOPANE (Chicago; Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Grease), Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner ROBERT CUCCIOLI (Jekyll & Hyde; Les Miserables; Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), JANINE DIVITA (If/Then; The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Anything Goes; Grease), DAN'YELLE WILLIAMSON (Memphis; Scandalous) and JENNIFER HOPE WILLS (The Phantom of the Opera; Wonderful Town; Beauty and the Beast; The Woman in White). Musical Director / Accompanist will be Wendy Cavett (Hamilton; Come From Away). Relive your favorite Broadway hits live on stage performed by some of Broadway's biggest stars right now.

This week the Actors Fund honored 2017 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award winner Baayork Lee; Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Jerry Mitchell; Emmy Award winner John Deluca; and Tony nominated, Emmy and Academy Award winner Rob Marshall; with a special Actors Fund Medal of Honor presented to actress, dancer and choreographer Carmen de Lavallade, at The Actors Fund's Career Transition For Dancers Masquerade Ball.

The Phantom of the Opera celebrated its unprecedented 30th Anniversary in New York City on January 26, 2018. To mark the occasion, 30 designers were tasked to transform the look of the iconic Phantom mask -originally designed by Maria Bjornson and realized by milliner Rodney Gordon - in their own aesthetic vision for a one-of-a-kind mask.

Stephen DeAngelis presented BROADWAY FRIGHT NIGHT, a celebration of songs from musicals with Supernatural, Horror and Sci-Fi themes, on Monday, October 29th at Green Room 42, Green Fig.

Steven Reineke celebrated his tenth anniversary as Music Director of The New York Pops during the orchestra's current 2018-19 season. Steven is only the second person to hold the position of Music Director of The New York Pops, which was founded by Skitch Henderson in 1983, and is the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States and the only professional symphonic orchestra in New York City specializing in popular music.
