The American Theatre Wing and the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation (JLPAF) announced today that beginning immediately, the Wing will be the new home for The Jonathan Larson Grants.

THE SEAGULL, in a new version by Christopher Hampton and directed by Ian Rickson, begins previews tonight, September 16 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street). The production plays a limited 14-week engagement through Sunday, December 21.

According to her website, Season One of the 'Rosie O'Donnell Show' will be available on DVD starting September 21st, 2008. O'Donnell will be appearing on the Home Shopping Network at 12PM, 6PM and 11PM to promote the newly released DVD set.

This week, Charles Strouse's year-long 80th birthday celebration continues in the United Kingdom. Renowned actor Delroy Lindo returns to Berkeley Repertory Theatre with the play that netted him a nomination for the Tony Award - but this time, he's in the director's chair. Following last year's triumph with Tanya Barfield's Blue Door, Lindo takes on August Wilson's African-American epic, Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Staged in the state-of-the-art Roda Theatre, this show begins previews on October 31, opens November 5, and closes December 14. Joe Turner is produced in association with the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, thanks to executive producers Wayne Jordan and Quinn Delaney and Felicia Woytak and Steve Rasmussen. La Jolla Playhouse Board Chair Ralph Bryan announced today that Steven Libman, Managing Director, is stepping down to pursue an expanding consulting practice. Mr. Libman was appointed Managing Director in June 2005.The organization will initiate a nationwide search for Mr. Libman's successor immediately. Joan Cumming, Director of Communications, will serve as Interim Managing Director. Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley will continue with his current responsibilities.
