ErinMarie Reiter

ErinMarie Reiter is a San Diego native and has been involved in theater since she was young, working both on stage and behind the scenes. Having studied musical and children’s theatre ErinMarie believes in the power of the arts and that opportunities in theatre are a vital component of a well-rounded education for all ages. She feels lucky to live and write about theatre in San Diego which has many world-renowned theatres and often is the birthplace of Broadway and worldwide blockbuster productions.  

 ErinMarie is President of the San Diego Critic’s Circle, works with educators to encourage the art of entertainment and liver performance writing, and is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association. When not at the theatre she can usually be found reading a book, cuddling with her animals, and going on adventures with her husband and her friends. It’s not unusual to talk to your pets, though usually, when they start to talk back, it’s a cause for concern.  Instead, “Alabaster,” playing at OnStage Playhouse, uses Weezy the goat, who does talk back to her owner, to add a sweet touch of magical realism to this play about love, loneliness, and how to move forward after surviving a trauma. Alabaster is playing through March 2nd.
