The La Jolla Playhouse presents a new musical about Charlie Chaplin entitled LIMELIGHT: THE STORY OF CHARLIE CHAPLIN. The show will have its world premiere at the Mandell Weiss Theatre beginning September 7 and running through October 17.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Richard Griffiths will join Matt LeBlanc and Stephen Mangan on the new Showtime/BBC comesdy series 'Episodes.'

Tim Curry will guest star on CBS' 'Criminal Minds' season finale episode 'Our Darkest Hour.' As previously reported Curry will play a serial killer in Los Angeles who preys on his victims in the dark, killing entire families except for one left alive to remember. Eric Close ('Without a Trace') and Robert Davi ('Profiler') will also guest star in the cliffhanger finale. 'Criminal Minds' airs on CBS Wednesdays at 9pm. The finale airs at 9pm, May 26.

According to The Stage London's CANNIBAL! THE MUSICAL, which was set to open at the Leicester Square Theatre on July 27 has been cancelled after the rights for the show were withdrawn. It was expected the show would play a limited run through September 11, 2010.

Artists Repertory Theatre has announced Academy Award winner William Hurt will join the cast of LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT as James Tyrone. LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT will be performed August 13 through 29.

The duo, who have been friends for 13 years mash-up unlikely shows, such as RENT, THE SOUND OF MUSIC and LES MIS. Between medleys, Kyle and Monte will involve the audience in contests and games.

Northwestern University has added a revised version of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN to their Summer Music Theatre Festival. CHARLIE BROWN will be performed July 1 through August 8. As previously announced a musical tribute to Tony Award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz will be performed with vocalists Capathia Jenkins ('Caroline, Or Change') and Shoshana Bean ('Wicked'), Tony-nominated composer and lyricist Craig Carnelia, Grammy Award-nominated composer and lyricist Andrew Lippa, and Grammy Award-winning Nashville singer and songwriter Lari White.

Stage and screen star Lena Horne died Sunday, May 9, at the age of 92 at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
