The producers of BURN THE FLOOR, the Latin and Ballroom dance spectacular that's been setting stages ablaze around the globe, have announced the Broadway cast, featuring special guest stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. BURN THE FLOOR offers the rare opportunity to see Maks & Karina dance together live for the first three weeks of the 12-week Broadway engagement, kicking off the new Broadway season with previews July 25 and opening night August 2 at the Longacre Theatre (220 W. 48th St.).

TRACY LETTS' AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, winner of five 2008 Tony Awards, as well as the 2008 Pulitzer Prize, and currently starring Tony and Emmy award winner PHYLICIA RASHAD, will play its final performance on SUNDAY, JUNE 28th, 2009. It will have played 648 performances and 18 previews, surpassing The Heidi Chronicles, Master Class, The Real Thing, and Doubt, among many others, to become one of the longest running plays in Broadway history.

Broadway in South Africa will be the featured entertainment for tonight's opening dinner for the US Fund for UNICEF's 2009 Annual Meeting entitled 'Believe in Zero.' Michael Mayer, the Tony Award-winning director of Spring Awakening, will begin work on a new musical production adapted from 'American Idiot,' the best-selling album by the punk band Green Day. The project is scheduled to make its debut in September 2009 at the Berkeley Repertory Theater in California. The musical will be a collaboration between Green Day - the Bay Area rock trio consisting of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool - and Mayer. Producers Emanuel Azenberg and Ira Pittelman are pleased to announce that THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, new productions of Neil Simon's BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND, will play Broadway's beautifully restored Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced the new plays that will comprise its upcoming 2009-10 season.

Seats in the front two rows of the orchestra will be made available for $20 for every performance of RENT: The Broadway Tour, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, at The Paramount Theatre.
