Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) New York premiere of PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY, a new play by two-time Tony Award nominee, Pulitzer Prize finalist and two-time Obie Award winner Craig Lucas (Small Tragedy at Playwrights Horizons, The Light in the Piazza, Prelude to a Kiss, Reckless, The Dying Gaul) officially opens tonight Off-Broadway.

Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright-director John Patrick Shanley brings his searing drama Doubt to the silver screen. The New York Times is reporting that Eric Idle is guiding the drive to officially take Monty Python to the Internet.The creation is called, Pythonline.com, it is a social network and digital playground, offers clips of old material that people can use to make mash-ups, perhaps inserting their own pet in the killer-rabbit scene from 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail.'

The Los Angeles Times has reported that Nina Foch, a veteran actress from Hollywood's film noir era of the 1940s who became a widely respected acting coach and teacher of directors, died Friday at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. She was 84. The cause was complications of long-term myelodysplasia, a blood disorder, according to her son, Dr. Dirk De Brito.

According to her official website, Idina Menzel will be performing at the Tilles Center in Greenvale, NY (Long Island) on March 28, 2009.

Skyline Theatre Company is bringing Broadway to Bergen County this holiday season with Jim Stanek starring in their benefit staging of It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Saturday December 13th, 7:30pm at the Hermitage's Jaqua Hall, 335 N. Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus.
