Production sources are revealing that ROCK OF AGES, Off-Broadway's newest hit, may be heading to Broadway.

The Living Theatre (19 Clinton St.), the oldest experimental theatre group still exisiting in the country, will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of THE CONNECTION by playwright Jack Gelber with a new production directed by Judith Malina. The Living Theatre will present the 50th anniversary revival in collaboration with New York City jazz musician Rene McLean, who will conduct a New York jazz ensemble. The Production will begin performances on December 30, 2008 and will open on Thursday, January 8, 2009. and will continue until Feburary 13, 2009. Judith Malina directs.
Due to the overwhelming audience response to this new holiday favorite, Goodspeed Musicals has added two performances to the schedule of the sensational world premiere stage musical based on Jim Henson's classic holiday favorite Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. The two new performances are Sunday, December 28 and Sunday, January 4 at 6:30 p.m.. Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas will run December 7, 2008, through January 4, 2009, at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut.
Nick Adams returned to his hometown, Erie, PA, this week to perform as a special guest with the Erie Philharmonic. The annual holiday pops concert is performed a the Warner Theatre and this year's concert on Saturday, December 13th is called 'Come Home for the Holidays'.
News reports indicated that Van Johnson, Hollywood star of the movies' golden age, has died. Family friend Wendy Bleiweiss has announced to the press that Johnson died Friday at an assisted living center in Nyack. He was 92. Johnson was known for his boy-next-door wholesomeness and was a major heartthrob in the 1940s.

Terrain, choreography by Rebecca Lazier, premieres two dance installations at Joyce SoHo Theater, 155 Mercer Street (between Houston and Prince) January 29th - 31st, 2009. The evening, created in collaboration with composer Gregory Spears, lighting designer Aaron Copp, costume designers Mary Jo Mecca and Heidi Barr, and the performers Jennifer Lafferty, Rommel Salveron, Emily Stone, Storme Sundberg, and Christopher Williams, is conceived as a way to encourage audience reaction and discourse. There will be a reception after each performance. Terrain is presented in association with Joyce SoHo.
