Christopher Sieber is currently starring as 'Lord Farquaad' in Shrek The Musical. Sieber steals scene after scene after scene as the diminutive and deliciously dastardly 'Farquaad', a role he has helped shape since the very first Shrek workshop.

Variety reports that Universal Pictures has made a big-bucks deal to acquire an untitled Mattel toy property for a live-action musical film to be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. The duo will reunite with the 'Hairspray' team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Shaiman and Wittman are in talks to write an original score for the musical.

'There's No Place Like Home' for homeless shelter dogs, according to Nigel, the former street-dog-turned-stage-star, who is making his New York professional debut in The Wiz at City Center in June. The need for a home is what inspired Nigel, along with co-star Ashanti (who plays Dorothy) to host 'There's No Place Like Home' Adoption Day on Saturday, May 30th at at City Center (55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues). The UK Daily Mail is reporting that Britain's Got Talent second place finisher Susan Boyle was admitted to London's Priory clinic last night suffering with exhaustion.

The New York Times reports that the upcoming Goodman Theater double bill of Eugene O'Neill's 'Hughie' and Samuel Beckett's 'Krapp's Last Tape,' both starring Brian Dennehy and directed by Robert Falls and Canadian director Jennifer Tarver and will come to Broadway. The two plays had been expected on Broadway next season, but now it's official according to The Times. The production, which will open first at the Goodman Theater in Chicago in January, will start performances on Broadway the week of April 12, 2010, at a theater to be announced.

The hit online television series, The Battery's Down, will premiere Episode 12, 'It Don't Make Sense,' on Monday, June 1 at Midnight on YouTube and their official website. The show is filmed in a style similar to Curb Your Enthusiasm and chronicles the life of young actor Jake Wilson in New York City.
