BWW Review: MINNEAPOLIS at Subiaco Arts CentreAugust 2, 2021MINNEAPOLIS, a play by Will O'Mahony packed Subiaco Arts Centre for each of its performances. It is dramatic and confronting at different points and in different measures. The sum of those often-contrasting parts is a brutal and unrelenting look at toxic masculinity and gender dynamics that brought the audience to laugh and to think.
BWW Previews: MINNEAPOLIS at Subiaco Arts CentreJuly 19, 2021At Orfield Laboratories in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is what was the quietest room in the world. The silence is unbearable, and the weight of silence was something Will O’Mahony wanted to work with when he was writing MINNEAPOLIS, which opens at Subiaco Arts Centre on July 27th. I had the chance to chat with Will before MINNEAPOLIS opens.

BWW Previews: CRAZY FOR YOU at His Majesty's TheatreJune 10, 2021CRAZY FOR YOU is a tough musical. It won a swag of awards upon its release in 1992, and it showcases some of the biggest songs the Gershwins wrote in one musical. Indeed, when WAAPA staged CRAZY FOR YOU in 2012, it was their highest grossing musical ever. They’re aiming high with their first production staged at His Majesty’s Theatre.
