Noted film and television actor Idris Elba has signed on as a guest star in four episodes of the new SHOWTIME dark comedy series THE BIG C, premiering August 16TH at 10:30p PT/ET. Elba will play 'Lenny,' a painter who forms a relationship with headliner Laura Linney. The 13-episode series is currently shooting in Stamford, Connecticut.

NBC will kick off television's biggest night with the '62nd Primetime Emmy(R) Awards Red Carpet Special,' a live one-hour event co-hosted by Billy Bush, Maria Menounos ('Access Hollywood') and Nate Berkus ('The Nate Berkus Show') on Sunday, August 29 (4-5 p.m. PT, 7-8 p.m. ET). The '62nd Primetime Emmy(R) Awards,' hosted by Jimmy Fallon ('Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'), will air immediately following the red carpet special live coast-to-coast on NBC (5-8 p.m. PT, 8-11 p.m. ET).

ABC's exclusive coverage of The Finals Game 3 - Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics - delivered an 11.5 overnight rating, a 14 percent increase from 2009 (Lakers vs. Orlando, 10.1 overnight). Tuesday night's Game 3 broadcast was the highest-rated show of the night for all of television, helping ABC to win the night for all networks in primetime. The game peaked with a 14.7 rating from 11:30-11:45 p.m. ET.
Responsible for the unprecedented growth and rebrand success of the fastest growing women's network on the dial, Jason Klarman has been promoted to President, Oxygen Media, effective immediately. The announcement was made today by Lauren Zalaznick, President, NBC Universal Women & Lifestyle Entertainment Networks to whom Klarman will continue to report. With this promotion, Klarman will add oversight of Oxygen's original programming and development teams to his responsibilities. Since January 2008, Klarman had been General Manager of Oxygen Media, its first since NBC Universal's acquisition in November of 2007.
Superstar Toby Keith will perform on the BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, an entertainment special to be broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston, Sunday, July 4 (10:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. Craig Ferguson (CBS's 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson') will host the special for the fourth consecutive year.

This Christmas the Rose Theatre will join forces with Broadway producer Bud Martin to present The Three Musketeers, a brand new musical adapted from the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas. The Three Musketeers will play at the Rose from 27 November to 2 January, prior to the West End.
