ROCK OF AGES star Amy Spanger will continue with the hit Broadway musical, according to a statement from the show's producers. Spanger has not appeared in the musical since June 8th, leaving fans of the show to speculate the cause of her absence, and if she would return to the show. Spanger will return June 29th.
13P (Thirteen Playwrights, Inc), the OBIE Award-winning theater company made up of 13 playwrights, will present Lucy Thurber's (P#8) 'MONSTROSITY,' directed by Lear deBessonet. 'MONSTROSITY,' featuring a cast of 21, will be performed at The Connelly Theatre, 220 East 4th Street (between Avenues A and B), with performances running from July 9 through 19, 2009 for a total of twelve performances. Actor T. Scott Cunningham, a founding member of Drama Dept. and The Vineyard Community of Artists, died at NYU Medical Center in New York City on Saturday, June 20 from complications due to pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, according to Sam Rudy, a spokesperson for The Vineyard Theatre. Mr. Cunningham was 47 years old.

Cape Rep Theatre proudly announces the extension of its production of the Marie Jones comedy Stones in His Pockets. Stones in His Pockets is directed by Kennedy Center Gold Medallion recipient, Steve Reynolds. Stones in His Pockets will open June 25, and was originally scheduled to run through July 18, however additional dates have now been added. The show will have added performances July 21-July 25. These performances will be held 'under the stars' in the Outdoor Theatre.
