The Centenary of Alwin Nikolais's birth is being celebrated in 10 cities world-wide with New York engagements at Nikolais's original artistic home, the Henry Street Playhouse (now the Abrons Arts Center), May 1 and 2, and at The Joyce Theater, May 4-9. The spectacular double season of revivals, some dating back to 1953, will be performed by the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, the repository of the Nikolais Dance Theatre repertory. The Company's performances of Nikolais's dances are directed by Alberto Del Saz and Murray Louis.

the cell joins as lead producer with Joie de Théâtrale and The New Voice Project to present the NYC Premiere of 'Limonade Tous les Jours,' a romantic comedy (in english), written by Charles L. Mee, and directed by Diana Basmajian. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) presents the world premiere of the musical Johnny Baseball by Richard Dresser, Robert Reale, and Willy Reale, directed by Diane Paulus. Opening Reagle Players' 42nd season on June 18th is the classic Into the Woods starring Broadway powerhouse Rachel York. York recently won the 2009 Irne Award for Best Musical Actress for her critically praised turn as the title character in Reagle's Hello, Dolly! On Friday, July 23 Broadway Onstage Live Theatre will open the 30th Season of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc. when his comic mystery, THE SOCIAL SECURITY MURDERS, begins the new season. This production will be the 111th live stage production presented at Broadway Onstage Live Theatre. Dennis Wickline Productions also presented over 70 live Dinner Theatre productions in several venues before moving to Broadway Onstage Live Theatre in June of 1994.
Stage, film and television actor Shay Duffin passed away April 22 at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Duffin's death was related to complications from heart surgery. The actor was 79 years old.
