The North Carolina Symphony's innovative Composer Portraits concerts return next month with a tribute to American trailblazer John Adams, one of music's greatest living composers. Town Hall Theater's executive director appears on stage before shows to welcome the crowd, but he rarely gets a chance to stand on the stage as a performer. That will happen this month, as Douglas Anderson performs 'Songs You Don't Know' as part of the THT Cabaret Series on Thursday, March 10.

Artist Elizabeth Peyton's Wagner, an exhibition of works based on the characters in Der Ring des Nibelungen, will open at the Metropolitan Opera on February 25. Wagner is the second in a series of exhibitions celebrating the Met's new production of the composer's Ring cycle. Peyton's work will be shown at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz Gallery Met and in other locations throughout the opera house; this will be the first time an artist's exhibition will not be limited to the gallery itself. The show will include nearly 30 works. A majority are new monotypes and drawings made for the exhibition.

Following the release of the highly anticipated 3-D documentary Never Say Never, Madame Tussauds today announced that Grammy-nominated POP/R&B singing-sensation Justin Bieber will be the next celebrity to be immortalized in wax. Bieber's figure will make its world debut this March at three Madame Tussauds attractions-New York, London and Amsterdam.
