City Theatre announces auditions for The Old Cemetery Plays: Local Playwrights Project. This event includes 8 short plays over two evenings by Sacramento playwrights. Auditions will be Monday, November 23 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm and Tuesday, November 24 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the Art Court Theatre Sacramento City College.

On Saturday and Sunday, December 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., thousands of music lovers and holiday shoppers will converge on the Mesa Arts Center campus as it transforms into a free holiday festival of the arts.

Winners will be announced at what is considered to be the grandest of all events for Wellington City's vibrant arts community, the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards to be held at the St James Theatre, December 6, 2009.

Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty', 'The Tempermentals') is headlining a reading of Brian Sloan's 'WTC View' on November 22nd at the historic Player's Theatre in Greenwich Village. The play was originally staged as part of the 2003 NY Intl. Fringe Festival , with Urie originating the lead role. It was adapted into a 2006 film, directed by Sloan, a New York-based writer/filmmaker ('Boys Life', 'I Think I Do'). Now, the play is back on stage with its eye on a 2011 production in New York City for the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Director Elaine Gatchell announces open auditions for the dramatic comedy 'Harvey', to be performed the last weekend in March and the first weekend in April, 2010, at Leddy Center's new beautiful theater on Ladd's Lane in Epping.

The complete cast and creative team is set for the Globe's 12th annual production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Previews run from Nov. 21 - Nov. 26. Opening night is Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m.

Southern Rep, the region's premiere professional theatre, expands it's education branch Academy SRT to offer not only classes, but plays for kids and teens to do! Academy SRT's production of original play Enchanted Holiday Celebration will be directed by Academy SRT Instructor Julie Faust. Rehearsals begin November 30, 2009 with performances December 12 & 13, 2009 on stage at Southern Rep.

Company XIV, a Black Book Magazine ‘Icon Of The Future', presents an Apple Triptych featuring the World Premiere of their family holiday show Snow White, a revival of Le Serpent Rouge and a revival of The Judgment of Paris. All three dance-theater shows are conceived, directed and choreographed by Austin McCormick, with adapted text also by McCormick. The shows run from December 3, 2009 to January 17, 2010 in a limited 7-week engagement at the company's home space at 303 Bond St. (between Union & Sackett) in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Previews begin December 3 and openings begin December 10.
