Star of 'Murder She Wrote' and the current Broadway hit 'Blithe Spirit' Angela Lansbury will introduce the NPR broadcasts. The great mystery series will include a special live broadcast on Saturday, August 15th of 4 American premiere Agatha Christie stage classics performed in front of live audience members during the 2009 International Mystery Writers' Festival in Owensboro, KY.

Palm Beach Dramaworks will kick off its 10th Anniversary season with Henrik Ibsen's legendary 'A Doll's House' on Friday, October 16th (8PM) at their intimate downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard). The season will continue with quite a roster of plays, 'Copenhagen' by Michael Frayn, 'American Buffalo' by David Mamet and 'Three Tall Women' by Edward Albee.

Director Pat Mackin returns to the Playhouse after directing the critically acclaimed 2006 production of THE IMMIGRANT. He will helm this production, which is based on the popular horror novel by Susan Hill. THE WOMAN IN BLACK runs October 30 and 31 at 8:00 on the Playhouse main stage.

Susan Anderson holds a bachelor of fine arts in education/ceramics from Florida Atlantic University; is a studio art major from the School of Visual Arts in New York City; and is board certified in Early Adolescence through Young Adult Art with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. She has taught at J.P. Taravella High School for more than 15 years and has worked as a summer instructor with art programs at both the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University and the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

Rising Action Theatre will hold non-Equity auditions on Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for two upcoming musicals: 'Flora, the Red Menace' and 'Grey Gardens'. Auditions will be held at Rising Action Theatre at 840 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Oakland Park.

Dixon has been performing and hosting comedy since 1994. He has appeared on HBO Def Comedy Jam, BET Comic View, Show Time at the Apollo and most recently 'The Tom Joyner Sky Show.' A former radio morning show host in Miami, he has performed many main-event shows, including Zo's Summer Groove, The Ray Lewis Foundation Annual Event and Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage.

Morgan's reputation in the Southeast Florida theatre community precedes her, and has become known for her masterful and powerful performances on the. That is evidenced by her place in the history of the Southeast Florida Carbonell Award (Southeast Florida's answer to the Tony). Her most recent wins include in 2006 for her portrayal of an afflicted mother of a murdered 10-year-old girl in Frozen, with GableStage in Coral Gables, and in 2007 for her legendary performance of Martha in Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? for Palm Beach Dramaworks.

STARS OF MAGIC is an evening of illusions, magic and death-defying comedy, featuring master magician, Jack Maxwell; illusionist with a twist, Jimmy Rook; and nationally acclaimed variety artist, comedian and fire manipulator, Joel Newlon, known to fans nationwide as 'The Wonderfool.' Bobby and Danny have been entertaining Key West audiences for many years. 'A Couple of Swells' is a musical journey through their experiences of growing up, adventures in show biz and finally settling in Key West. The line-up ranges from 'Spamalot' to 'Kiss Me Kate,' with pop and cabaret standards, as well as songs from Bobby's highly successful 'Bobby In The Lobby' series at the Tennessee Williams Theatre.

Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County hosts the return of the hit musical CELIA: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF CELIA CRUZ. From June 2 - 21, 2009, South Florida audiences will witness the story of how the marvelous 'queen of salsa' rose to musical fame over the course of 60 years. The last CELIA: THE LIFE & MUSIC OF CELIA CRUZ run at the Adrienne Arsht Center was the launching point for the show's international tour and drew more than 20,000 attendees, including celebrities such as Gloria and Emilio Estefan, talk show host Cristina Saralegui and many more.
