Con O'Neill is to replace Matt Lucas in the role of Kenneth Halliwell in Daniel Kramer's production of Prick Up Your Ears at the Comedy Theatre. O'Neill will join Chris New who plays Joe Orton and Gwen Taylor as their neighbour in Simon Bent's new play from 22 October 2009.

REDCAT (the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater) celebrates Halloween with a theatrical screening of The Golem, one of the earliest and surely creepiest horror films in cinema history, accompanied by live music from tricked-out ghouls under the direction of Brian LeBarton, best known as Beck's prodigious music director. The Golem with a live score by Brian LeBarton takes place on Friday, October 30, 2009 and Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 8:30pm.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its star-studded Fall 2009 season with the return engagement of MARY CLEERE HARAN from October 29 - 31 and November 5 - 7. The world premiere of her new show celebrating the Johnny Mercer centennial will feature famous standards such as "Day In Day Out," "Out Of This World," and "The Days of Wine and Roses," in addition to lesser known gems such as "It's A Great Big World" from The Harvey Girls and "That Old Music Master," with music by Hoagy Carmichael.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults launches its 2009-2010 season with Mango Street by Tanya Saracho, based on the novel The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros and directed by Hallie Gordon. The production, featuring Belinda Cervantes, Gina Cornejo, Sandra Delgado, Liza Fernandez, Ricardo Gutierrez, Christina Nieves, Tony Sancho and Mari Stratton runs October 13 - November 1, 2009 in the Steppenwolf Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. The Production Company (Mark Armstrong, Artistic Director) announced today that Damon Gupton has joined the cast of the world premiere production of comedy Meg's New Friend by Blair Singer (The Most Damaging Wound, "Weeds"). The play opens November 29, 2009 at Manhattan Theatre Source (177 MacDougal St.).

The New York Philharmonic has received a $2.4 million grant from the Leon Levy Foundation to digitize 1.3 million pages of material from its Archives, making them available to scholars, musicians, students, and the general public over the Internet. This will be the first phase of a comprehensive long-range project to digitize almost the entire New York Philharmonic Archives. The first phase, which is scheduled for completion in three years, will digitize documents, as well as a small sample of audio and video files, from the New York Philharmonic's International Era, 1943 to 1970. The project will launch with Leonard Bernstein's marked conducting scores, scheduled for availability online in spring 2010.

The Theater Company (TTC) is kicking off its new season with a spirited evening of ghosts and spooky mayhem this Halloween with 'Scary Stories on the Waterfront.' In conjunction with the Hoboken Historical Museum, TTC will be presenting candlelight ghost stories outside of Sybil's Cave (Frank Sinatra Drive, Hoboken).

Lookingglass Theatre announces today that Andrew White, a founding Ensemble Member, has been elected by the Lookingglass Ensemble to the position of Artistic Director Elect. He will transition into the position under the guidance of outgoing Artistic Director David Catlin, who will step down in June 2010. Catlin recently accepted a Visiting Professorship at Northwestern University; he will remain an active Ensemble Member and will direct his adaptation of Icarus at Lookingglass in December 2009.

Hobo Junction is proud to announce the World Premiere of HORRIBLE, a new comedy by Josh Zagoren, the mastermind behind Hobo Junction and author of the hit show BAD GUYS IN SUITS. HORRIBLE, Hobo Junction's Seventh production is a comedy about love, death and cannibalism. The show will run from November 6 through December 29, 2009 at the Apollo Theater.

Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Judith Ivey portrays that great woman of American letters -- letters from readers seeking advice, that is -- when she plays the legendary, trailblazing columnist Ann Landers in David Rambo's play THE LADY WITH ALL THE ANSWERS Off-Broadway this fall, which started performances October 7, 2009 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in New York City. B.J. Jones directs. The production will run through November 29. Opening night is scheduled for October 14.

BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, the first of THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS, is currently in previews at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The production, directed by David Cromer, opens Sunday, October 25.

La MaMa presents a trio of adult puppet Theater Productions that are brimming with international art forms in 'La MaMa Puppet Series 3' from October 8 to October 25, 2009.
