Royal Ballet to Hold Exhibit June 10, 2010England's Royal Ballet is to hold an exhibit about its history at the Lowry Centre in Salford, England, the BBC has reported. The exhibit will be titled 'Invitation to the Ballet: Ninette de Valois and the story of The Royal Ballet' and will honor de Valois, the company's founder. De Valois was considered one of the founders of modern British ballet.
Boyle in Talks to Perform for Pope in SeptemberJune 10, 2010Former 'Britain's Got Talent' contestant Susan Boyle may sing for Pope Benedict XVI when he visits Britain this September, the Associated Press reports today. Although talks are still in progress, Boyle will likely perform at a papal Mass in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow on September 16. Benedict's visit will be the first visit of a pope to Britain since 1982; he will address Parliament and beatify nineteenth-century Cardinal John Henry Newman.
