'I'm an artist and I love America,' she said on her initial choice to take part. The singer didn't expect all the backlash and instant bullying that followed. She canceled her performance calling it a 'lapse in judgement.' Following the segment with the panel. the singer took to the stage to perform a moving tribute to the Civil Rights movement, reflecting on our nation's history and sending a message of hope for the future. Coverage begins this Thursday, Jan. 19, live in primetime at 5:30 p.m. ET with the pairs' short program on NBCSN followed by the ladies' short program at 9:30 p.m. ET. NBC hosts live coverage throughout the weekend, beginning this Saturday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. ET with the pairs' free and free dance programs, continuing in primetime at 8 p.m. ET with the ladies' free skate.
Football Night In America Begins Sunday on NBCJanuary 13, 2017Per the NFL's announcement earlier today, the AFC Divisional playoff game featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., will now be played this Sunday, January 15, at 8:20 p.m. ET, on NBC. The game, which was originally-scheduled for January 15 at 1:05 p.m. ET, was moved due to public safety concerns in light of a forecasted storm for the Kansas City area this weekend.

Clay Aiken and Sunny Hostin also visit West High School in Iowa City to talk to students about the reported bullying following the election and the student-organized peaceful protests that followed.
