The Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) today announced the dates for the third annual festival, returning to Bentonville, Arkansas May 2-7, 2017.  Co-founded by Academy Award® winner Geena Davis & ARC Entertainment CEO Trevor Drinkwater, the Bentonville Film Festival champions women and diverse voices in all forms of media.  Along with founding sponsor Walmart and presenting sponsor Coca-Cola, and partners AMC Theatres, Lifetime and Starz -- BFF is the only film competition in the world to guarantee theatrical, television, digital and retail home entertainment distribution for its winners in the following categories: Best Family Film, Audience Award and Best Narrative Selected by Jury.

Following up on the phenomenal success of “Little Big Shots,” in which kids brought their amazing talents to a primetime audience, NBC has ordered “Little Big Shots: Forever Young,” where young-at-heart seniors will showcase their hidden talents, vibrant personalities and incredible wisdom.

With live plus 7-day ratings, the season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY increased to 21.5 million viewers while the series premiere averaged 13.6 million and was the night's top new program in viewers and key demos, according to Nielsen live plus 7-day ratings for Sept. 19.

Gary Glasberg, Executive Producer and Showrunner of “NCIS” and Executive Producer and Creator of “NCIS: New Orleans,” passed away in his sleep on Sept. 28 in Los Angeles. He was 50.

 The Jurkowitz Center for Community Engagement is pleased to announce the next film in the "Movies That Matter with Hal Conklin" film series, Say Amen, Somebody, will screen on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 7:00pm, accompanied by a special performance from the Inner Light Gospel Choir. Say Amen, Somebody is a compelling look at the colorful history of Gospel music in the United States, featuring real-life accounts from some of the earliest founders of this form of praise.

Rahway International Film Festival hosted the 1st Annual Rahway Film Festival Junior for New Jersey students in grades 3 through 12 on May 21, 2016.  The student film festival was a great success and the lucky winners of the 'Best Film of the Festival' and 'Audience Choice' awards will be honored at this year's main Fourth Annual Rahway International Film Festival event on October 21 through October 23, 2016.

A feisty foster kid's outrageous scheme to be reunited with her birth mother has unintended consequences in The Great Gilly Hopkins, an entertaining film for the entire family. Gilly Hopkins (Sophie Nélisse) has seen more than her share of foster homes and has outwitted every family she has lived with. In an effort to escape her new foster mother Mamie Trotter's (Kathy Bates) endless loving care, Gilly concocts a plan that she believes will bring her mother running to her rescue. But when the ploy blows up in Gilly's face it threatens to ruin the only chance she's ever had to be part of a real family.

Marvel Studios announces Marvel Studios' Expand Your Mind: An IMAX® 3D Exclusive First Look, featuring approximately 15 minutes of exclusive footage from the highly anticipated, action-packed “Doctor Strange.” The sneak peek will be showcased in over 115 theater locations across North America on October 10, 2016, at 7p.m. 

In 1935, on the set of the movie musical, Top Hat, composer Irving Berlin hummed a then unfamiliar tune to the film's star, Fred Astaire. He had envisioned the song as a centerpiece for a future film starring Astaire and his dance partner, Ginger Rogers. At the time, Berlin was in the midst of a project writing songs for each of the major holidays of the year, but based on his Jewish upbringing, the composer found that Christmas was the most difficult holiday to write for. Nevertheless, the legendary composer rose to the challenge and gave us what is now one of the most popular holiday songs in history, 'White Christmas.'

Corey McGinnis, better known as “PHOR” from  VH1's  Black Ink Crew Chicago is gearing up for the release of exclusive, new music and the second season of the show premiering this October. PHOR has recently signed to Devyne Stephen's Upfront Entertainment for a label and production deal.

CBS has opened the 2016/2017 season with a MASS-ive premiere week victory, winning for the eighth consecutive year with an average audience of 11 million viewers, the largest opening week audience by any network in five years (Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings, live + 3-day ratings and CBS Estimates). Updated ratings for the week ending Sept. 25 will be released tomorrow.

Babak Anvari's psychological thriller UNDER THE SHADOW has been selected as the United Kingdom's Foreign Language Academy Award entry for 2016. The film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and which has had an extensive festival run, will be released by Vertigo Releasing in the U.K. on September 23rd and by XYZ Films and Vertical in the U.S. on October 7th. Vertical Entertainment and XYZ Films are releasing the film theatrically in North America and globally on digital platforms.

FOX News Channel (FNC) will present extensive live programming of the upcoming presidential debate between nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on September 26th from Hofstra University.  Coverage will be available on FNC, as well as on additional platforms including, FOX News Radio, FOX News Mobile and FOXNews.com, where the debate will livestream for free without authentication.
