The 2016 Tony Awards Telecast Will Broadcast on Four Continents!

The Tony Awards will broadcast on four continents this year thanks to The Fremantle Corporation and the official international broadcast partners for the 70th Annual Tony Awards. The telecast will air on the following networks - scheduled as listed - across the globe:

· United Kingdom - Elaine Paige will host a special program on BBC Radio 2 covering the 70th Annual Tony Awards, including performances from the ceremony. The special will be broadcast from 8-10pm on Friday, June 17, 2016.

· WOWOW (Japan) - check local listings

· Bell's CTV (Canada) ­Airs live, Sunday, June 12 at 8:00pm ET

· PRAMER'S FILM & ARTS (AMC) (Latin America, Central and South America)

· Foxtel's Arena (Australia) - Airs live, Monday, June 13, at 10:00am AEST with an encore screening at 6:30pm AEST.

· ABS-CBN (Philippines) - check local listings

· Sky Network Arts Channel (New Zealand) - check local listings

· The Armed Forces Network - available to the US Armed Forces stationed outside of the United States; check listings

· China - broadcast on LeTV2, China OTT, Wasu TV, Mango TV and Beijing IQIYI; check local listings

Broadway fans will have even more opportunities to get closer to the action this year in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Tony Awards. From now until the Awards show on June 12th, the Tony Awards will be celebrating the remarkable 2015-2016 Broadway season by highlighting the themes of this season that push the boundaries of creativity and industry. Special "Stories of Our Season" content will be available through TonyAwards.com and the Tony Awards social channels. Fans can also follow @TheTonyAwards on Snapchat for opening night coverage and takeovers by their favorite Broadway stars.

Long before the curtain goes up on the big night, viewers can follow the Tony Awards on Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, beginning with live Red Carpet coverage. For the first-time ever, as an Official Sponsor of the 70th Annual Tony Awards and Presenting Sponsor of the Behind the Scenes Livestream, BroadwayHD will join forces with the Tony Awards to stream exclusive backstage content, including first reaction interviews with award winners moments after they receive their Awards, real-time reactions as winners are announced and behind-the-scenes looks as casts prepare to perform onstage and more.

For the second year, CBS All Access will offers an outlet for fans to watch the Awards live on their phones, tablets or computers (live stream is available in select markets. Visit CBS.com/allaccess for details).

The American Theatre Wing's 70th Annual Tony Awards - hosted by Tony Award winner James Corden - will air on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 12, 2016 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The Tony Awards, which honors theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
