New La Boite Artistic Director David Berthold today announced an initiative aimed at significantly reducing ticket prices.

At midday on Monday of the first week of every La Boite show this year, for one hour only, and only online, ALL remaining tickets for the first week will go on sale for just $20.

No catches. No limits.

Mr Berthold said the Monday Midday Madness rush hour made theatre more accessible to the general public.

Mr Berthold said, "I believe that theatre ticket prices are too high and this is a way of opening the doors wider and making theatre affordable for everyone. There are lots of ways to get inexpensive theatre tickets - by subscribing, by going to previews, by being under 30(!) - but this is a way for everyone to snap up a bargain. We hope our computer system breaks down with the heat of that one hot hour."

Put these dates in your diary and get caught in the rush:

Midday Monday 23 February The White Earth
Midday Monday 27 April Blue Love
Midday Monday 18 May Statespeare
Midday Monday 29 June Oodgeroo - Bloodline to Country
Midday Monday 27 July The Pineapple Queen
Midday Monday 31 August The Kursk

The discount is only available online and for one hour only. Tickets cost $20.
