The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, led by Earl Lee, 2022 winner of the Georg Solti Conducting Award, brings a “grand tour” program from Europe.
Haydn’s final symphony, the “London,” was written in a time of great happiness and success. Parisian composer Jean Françaix tours the floral hours of botanist Carl Linnaeus with the gorgeous sound of ASO Principal Oboist, Elizabeth Koch Tiscione. The program concludes with Mendelssohn stopping in sunny destinations from Venice to Naples.
Spivey Hall is at 2000 Clayton State Boulevard, Morrow, GA.
