Zarin Fabrics is a Lower East Side institution that has defied New York real estate trends to celebrate its 80th anniversary this year. The largest provider of discounted fabrics in the tri-state area and one of the largest across the country, Zarin Fabrics remains a family-run business that continues to grow and expand with each year.

On April 13th, David Zarin hosted the launch of 'Into the Garden,' the new fabric collection from John Loecke & Jason Oliver Nixon's Madcap Cottage collaboration with Robert Allen @ Home at his family-run store, Zarin Fabrics, the exclusive NYC retailer.

Poker queen Beth Shak, actress and author Leesa Rowland, and architect Steven Sepaugh were among the guests that joined the design duo to celebrate their 59-piece collection. Guests enjoyed canapés and champagne while perusing a glamorous assortment of Zarin home accessories, including Beth Shak's exclusive Poker Set, and the block-long showroom of 10,000 fabrics on the second floor.

'Into the Garden' features John and Jason's 'traditional with a twist' style with color-rich, and pattern-centric textiles. With names like Beach Club, Isleboro Eve, Monsoon Palace and Windy Corner, the fabrics will help transform any space into a chic and layered sanctuary.

Zarin Fabrics will be the exclusive NYC retailer of the Madcap Cottage for Robert Allen @ Home collection, offers a stunning variety of color and pattern options that will allow people to play with scale and texture and mix prints in unexpected ways. The fabrics will be standard bearers for the Robert Allen @ Home commitment to innovation and quality, while hitting the market at an exceptionally friendly price point through Zarin Fabrics.

When Harry Zarin opened the business in 1936, he operated out of a pushcart on Orchard Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side with a vision of creating a one-stop-shop for all things fabric-related. Within a generation, his vision came to fruition: Harry's son Bobby Zarin, and his grandson and company President David Zarin, joined the family business and developed it to include multiple storefronts on the Lower East Side, while positioning it as the go-to store for fabric, fabric supplies, and DIY re-upholstery tools. With Bobby's wife, Jill Zarin as Brand Ambassador the store goes from strength to strength.

Zarin Fabrics features over 2,500 fabrics on display with another 10,000 in the showroom so the store has now become a destination to not only view and purchase fabrics, but also peruse furniture, home furnishings, accessories and gift items, often made from independent artisans and artists who they have discovered and commissioned to make exclusive items for their showroom.

Zarin Fabrics is the ultimate source for television and movie set decorators. Not only has Taylor Swift, Jessica Lange, Emma Watson and Roberta Flack stepped through their doors, but also their product has been featured on hit shows including Madame Secretary, The Knick, Boardwalk Empire, Girls and Law & Order, as well as many Broadway productions.

While Zarin's core customer remains people who are decorating their apartments, consumer tastes have changed and Zarin's ability to adapt has been critical to their continued success.

For their 80th year, they will continue to announce exclusive partnerships and collaborations and will celebrate their anniversary throughout the year with a series of special events.
