The Tony Awards are like Christmas in June for theatre lovers, and that makes this year's nominees the reason for the season. This year's Tony nominees transported us with the magic of theatre, and we're saluting their work by taking a closer look at their extraordinary accomplishments. Today we're studying up on Denis Jones!
His Nomination: Best Choreography
The Show: Tootsie

Did You Know?: This is Denis' second Tony nomination. He earned a nod in 2017 for his work on Holiday Inn.
Denis on Tootsie: "I think both David [Yazbek] and Robert [Horn] have done a really masterful job of not only honoring this great film and celebrating it and continuing to discuss the important things the film discusses, but also creating something that's brand new and stands on it's two feet with a keen eye always, quite frankly on the funny, it's just a very funny show and I certainly tried to create choreography that was in line with that general kind of feel."
