Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: HEATHERS ends its run at New World Stages, ROCK OF AGES welcomes back its leading man, Jason Robert Brown performs in NYC and more!
Next up in our series of Broadway stars introducing BWW's morning feature is Tony nominee Malcolm Gets (portrait by Walter McBride), who's starred on Broadway in Macbeth, The Story of My Life, Amour and The Moliere Comedies. And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to Martin Jarvis, who turns 73 today!
Jarvis has acted in many stage productions in the U.S. and London, including 2001's By Jeeves on Broadway and 2006's Honour at Wyndham's. He has also done extensive radio work, lending his voice to radio dramas and readings, especially Richmal Crompton's Just William stories and work for L.A. Theater Works. He recently voiced the role of 'Saltine' in Wreck-It Ralph and appeared on the big screen in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
