Quote of the Day: In honor of PRINCE OF BROADWAY's world premiere, a word from Harold Prince himself...

"I've always loved Victorian melodrama. And I've always liked larger-than-life theater, providing it's truthful and honest. I like what the theater can provide in energy and bombast - I enjoy it when it's large, and by that I don't mean in size, I mean in emotions. Shakespeare did that."
-- Harold Prince (via BrainyQuote)

Video of the Day: Watch Nicole Scherzinger & Joe Jonas perform AVENUE Q's "It Sucks To Be Me" on NBC's I CAN DO THAT!

And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Kerry Butler, who turns 44 today!
Butler will finish her run in Clinton: The Musical off-Broadway this weekend. Her last Broadway appearance was in Gore Vidal's The Best Man. Before that, she starred in Catch Me If You Can, Rock of Ages, Xanadu (which nabbed her a Tony nomination), Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, Blood Brothers and Les Miserables. Among her off-Broadway credits are Under My Skin, The Call, Miracle Brothers, Prodigal, Bat Boy and King of Hearts. Last year, she starred in York Theatre Company's Big, opposite John Tartaglia.
