Bravo Media's Emmy Award-Winning "Inside the Actors Studio," hosted by James Lipton, salutes critically-acclaimed actor Jim Parsons tonight, June 18th at 8pm ET/PT in hot pursuit of his new Broadway play, "An Act of God."

Parsons is best known for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper in CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" which earned him four Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. He made his Broadway debut in 2011 as Tommy Boatwright in "The Normal Heart," and later reprised the role in the 2014 film adaptation for which he received his seventh Emmy Award nomination. Earlier this year, Parsons played THE VOICE of Oh in the Dreamworks Animation movie "Home."

"Having an incredibly well-rounded, successful run in theater, film and television, Jim Parsons arrived on our stage for one of the most joyful - and hilarious - evenings in the 21-year history of "Inside the Actors Studio," said James Lipton.

In the episode, Parsons delves into his Houston theater roots that have stayed with him throughout his career, his consistent connection to his late father which he experiences in his everyday life, and what he deems his perfectly "boring" relationship with partner Todd Spiewak. He also explains what it takes to be a true "nerd" and why he feels that Lipton falls into that category as well. Additionally, the thespian taps into his character roles as the Actors Studio host speaks candidly with both Sheldon and "God," and later Parsons even discusses the genesis of "The Big Bang Theory" pilot.
