Gallagher Jr. will soon return to Broadway in Long Day's Journey Into Night. He last starred in Jerusalem, as well as American Idiot, Spring Awakening (which earned him a Tony in 2007) and Rabbit Hole. Among his off-Broadway credits are Kimberly Akimbo, Current Events, Port Authority, Farragut North and more. The actor also played 'Jim' in Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom and has appeared on TV in The West Wing, Law & Order: SVU, and the BBC miniseries Olive Kitteridge. Among his recent film credits are The Belco Experiment (upcoming), The Heart Machine, the American Idiot documentary Broadway Idiot, Short Term 12, Margaret, and Jonah Hex.
