And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Mary McDonnell, who turns 63 today!
Well known for her role in the sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica, McDonnell first starred on Broadway in 1986's Execution of Justice. Among her other credits are The Heidi Chronicles and Summer and Smoke. The actress has also appeared in many off-Broadway productions. She received Oscar nominations for her roles in the films Dances with Wolves and Passion Fish and also starred in Independence Day, Donnie Darko and the TV series The Closer and Major Crimes.
