And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Elaine Paige, who turns 67 today!
Paige last appeared on Broadway in Follies after making her debut in Sunset Boulevard (in which she also starred in London). Among her West End credits are The Drowsy Chaperone, The King and I, Piaf, Anything Goes, Chess, Abbacadabara, Cats (for which she originated the role of Grizabella), Evita, Billy and Hair. Last year, Paige kicked off her "I'm Still Here" farewell concert tour after 50 years in show business. It will be broadcast around the world next month. She also released a new album, The Ultimate Collection, to mark the milestone.
