FISH IN THE DARK, the new comedy written by and starring Larry David, is running for an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 7 at the Cort Theatre. Opening night is tonight, March 5. The comedy, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, also stars Rita Wilson, Rosie Perez, Jayne Houdyshell, Ben Shenkman and Lewis J. Stadlen, heading a cast of 18.

FISH IN THE DARK, a comedy about a death in the family, has scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design byBrian MacDevitt, sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen, and original music by David Yazbek.

LARRY DAVID is the creator and star of the HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and was the co-creator, head writer, and executive producer of "Seinfeld." In 2009, he starred in Woody Allen's comedy Whatever Works. In 2010, he was honored with the WGA's Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television. Most recently, he co-wrote and starred in the HBO film "Clear History."

Anna D. Shapiro directed the current Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan's This Is Our Youth, as well as last season's Broadway revival of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men and the Lincoln Center Theater production of Bruce Norris' Domesticated. Her previous New York credits include the Broadway productions of Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Motherfucker with the Hat (Tony Award nomination), Tracy Letts' August: Osage County (Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards), and the Off Broadway production of Norris' The Pain and the Itch at Playwrights Horizons. She is an ensemble member of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre and a full-time professor in Northwestern University's Department of Theatre, where she has served as the Director of its Graduate MFA Directing Program since 2002. A graduate of the Yale School of Drama and Columbia College, she is a two-time recipient of the Princess Grace Award (1996 and 2010).

JAYNE HOUDYSHELL was nominated for Tony Awards for her performances in the most recent revival of Follies and the Broadway production of Well. She won an Obie and Theatre World Award for Well's original run at the Public Theater. Her recent Broadway and Off Broadway appearances include Romeo and Juliet; Wicked, Bye Bye Birdie; The Importance of Being Earnest; Horton Foote's Harrison, TX; Coraline; The New Century; and The Pain and the Itch. She appeared in the films Changing Lanes, Garden State, Trust the Man, and Everybody's Fine.

JAKE CANNAVALE, who is making his Broadway debut in Fish In the Dark, appeared Off Broadway in the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater production of Basilica. He has been seen in the films Romance & Cigarettes and Send, and on television in "Nurse Jackie."

ROSIE PEREZ starred on Broadway in The Ritz, Reckless, The Play What I Wrote, and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Her Off Broadway credits include Close Up Space (Manhattan Theatre Club), References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (Public Theater), and The Vagina Monologues. An Academy Award nominee for her performance in the film Fearless, her many film credits include Do The Right Thing, White Men Can't Jump, It Could Happen To You, Perdita Durango, The 24 Hour Woman, Riding in Cars with Boys, and The Take (Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress). Her television credits include the films "Lackawanna Blues" and "Lies in Plain Sight," and appearances on numerous series including In Living Color (which she also choreographed, earning three consecutive Emmy Award nominations for her choreography), "Frasier," " Lipstick Jungle," and "Nurse Jackie."

JONNY ORSINI's Broadway credits include roles in the Lincoln Center Theater's productions of Macbeth and The Nance (Special Theatre World Award for Most Promising Newcomer, Outer Critics Circle Award nomination). Off Broadway, he appeared in The New Group's production of An Early History of Fire and the Irish Repertory Theatre's production of Banished Children of Eve. His film credits include Beneath, Generation Um..., Girl Most Likely, King Kelly, Rocksteady, and Cigarette Candy.

JERRY ADLER was a veteran Broadway production stage manager and production manager before becoming an actor. He is known for his many appearances on film and television, most notably in the films Synecdoche, New York; The Memory Thief; Goodbye Baby; Prime; and Manhattan Murder Mystery; and on television in "The Sopranos," The Good Wife," "Rescue Me," and "Mad About You."
