Barbra Streisand stopped by ETOnline to talk about her new album PARTNERS (out today, September 16), as well as joining Instagram, the possible upcoming GYPSY movie as her "swan song" and more. Watch the interview below!
Streisand's album PARTNERS is out today via Columbia Records. The project features 12 new duets with world renowned male vocalists including Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds, Jason Gould, Josh Groban, Billy Joel, John Legend, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder and an one-of-a-kind virtual duet with Elvis Presley.
As BWW previously reported, Streisand is allegedly considering a dual role as 'Mama Rose' and director for the upcoming GYPSY film adaptation. Streisand last directed a musical in 1983 -- Yentl, which she also produced, co-wrote and starred in. Streisand has appeared on Broadway in I Can Get It For You Wholesale and Funny Girl. She has also received a special Tony Award. Her film work includes Funny Girl, Funny Lady, Yentl, and Nuts. A lauded performer, she has won numerous awards including the Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy awards.
