BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Sierra Boggess, who's worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber previously in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and LOVE NEVER DIES, will officially reunite with the composer this fall in SCHOOL OF ROCK on Broadway, playing the role of 'Rosalie Mullins' the school principal, recently portrayed by Sara Chase in the workshops at The Gramercy Theatre.
Boggess joins the previously announced Alex Brightman, who will star as Dewey Finn. Previews are set to begin Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre, with an opening night set for Sunday, December 6, 2015.
"Sierra is a magical performer," Lloyd Webber said. "She was a brilliant Christine Daaé in Phantom, and I'm delighted she'll have this chance to show off her considerable comedic chops in the role of the Rosalie in School of Rock."
Based on the Paramount movie written by Mike White, School of Rock has a book by Julian Fellowes, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. School of Rock -The Musical will be directed by Laurence Connor (currently represented on Broadway by Les Miserables) -- he also helmed the Gramercy concerts.
The Gramercy event featured choreography by Joann M. Hunter, scenic and costume design by Anna Louizos, lighting design by Jen Schriever (Tony winner Natasha Katz will design for Broadway), sound design by Mick Potter, and conductor/music supervisor Ethan Popp.
The band showcased Darren Ledbetter (associate music supervisor/keyboards), Brandon Ethridge(associate music supervisor/keyboards), Gary Seligson (drums), Pete Donovan (bass), JeffreyLee Campbell (guitar), Brian Koonin(guitar), and Tim Quick (guitar), as well as Michael Keller and Michael Aarons (music coordinators) and Randy Cohen(keyboard programmer).

Sierra Boggess is currently starring on Broadway in It Shoulda Been You opposite Tyne Daly under the direction of David Hyde Pierce. Boggess has appeared several times at 54 Below, her first appearance resulting in the release of her first solo recording, Awakening: Live at 54 Below. She played her second solo show, Finding the Balance (The Journey of the Middle Child), to sold out audiences at 54 Below and San Francisco's Feinstein's at the Hotel Nikko.
