Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Jennifer Mudge, who is starring as 'Gloria' in Rocky- currently playing at the Winter GardenTheatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

LES MIS - original. Still one of my faves, and super excited to see the newest one. Pity whoever has to sit next to me while I sing along. Oh yeah, I had the complete symphonic recording as a kid.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

Peeing at five isn't unique, is it? Hm. For Rocky, we have two circles. I also like hearing a particular crew member (no names) yell to Danny M : "Don't screw up, asshole!" It's a ritual. We have fun.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

In the production of INTO THE WOODS I did at the McCarter, the lovely Emily Young got a terrible cold. No understudies! So she lip synced while our assistant director - a female - spoke her lines, and our musical director - a male - sang for her. As Little Red Ridinghood and Rapunzel. It was the perfect example of theater as collaboration - and needless to say, the audience ATE IT UP.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

A multi-faceted, funny, dramatic woman that one of the gifted and awesome playwrights I know conceives with me, workshops with me, and lets me play in NYC.

And the movie.

And the musical of the movie.

Who is your Broadway crush?

You mean besides my real-life dish Chris Henry Coffey? Hmmm, it's a three-way tie between my evergreen heartbreaker Reed Birney, since-I-crushed-on-her-in-Millie favorite Sutton Foster or new B'way pal Ramin Karimloo.
