Hello again, BroadwayWorld readers! I am so excited to share my next blog post with you all. I recently sat down with a good friend of mine who is an actor here in Georgia. Jemarcus M. Kilgore has been a working actor in the industry for a few years now, and I decided to sit down with him and ask him some questions about his experience and how he's seen the industry here in Georgia grow throughout the years. Our full interview can be found here.

Summary of the questions asked/Answers given:

1. What's your name, age, and a description of what you do?: Jemarcus M. Kilgore, 21, based in Atlanta, actor (part/full time), writer, and musician.

2. When did you first know that acting was what you wanted to do?: Started in church plays, gave himself a line in "Tyler Perry's Single Moms Club".

3. What's the biggest thing you've learned since being in the industry?: To not take everything so seriously, to breathe, to cut yourself some slack, and accept the small wins.

4. Which do you prefer, film acting or stage acting, and why?: Film acting, film is more grounded and personal, focuses more on the minute details.

5. How do you approach new auditions or roles?: Separate your expectations from the script/audition, every audition isn't guaranteed, but it's also not a lose either (exposure).

6. How has the industry here in Georgia changed over the years?: Growing and fast, Atlanta has become a hub and the South is starting to blossom as its own Hollywood.

7. Any advice you'd like to provide for anyone starting to act or looking to get into the industry?: Don't be afraid of failure, best growth comes from failure, what we do isn't for us.

8. Any final thoughts to share?: Moving slow versus not moving at all are two different things, there's always a light at the end of tunnel.
